We are a small inner-city church that incorporates a 125+ year history with a thoughtfully determined and visceral faith. We have a vibrant Sunday church service, and various study and social groups representing a wide range of age and individual/family groupings. PBC has an ongoing and integral relationship with the Community of Refuge Trust, a Housing Trust established in 1987 through PBC that aims to serve at-risk and low income tenants. PBC is committed at the core, and open at the edges. Our church services are weekly at 10 am on a Sunday. A typical church service includes: prayers, kids' talk, singing, musical performance, readings, sermon, free for all (a chance for people to say what's on their mind). Morning tea is in the hall in the middle of the service, except on the first Sunday of each month when we hold a communion service and start with morning tea in the main building. Younger people have the option of attending programs that run in the hall during the second half of the church service, and a crèche is also available. PBC is now a Registered Charity with the Charities Commission. Our Registration No is: CC28076 |
